Preventing Recruitment Fraud

Safeguard your Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from the rising problem of recruitment based phishing schemes.

What is recruitment fraud?

There is a growing Recruitment Fraud problem and candidates should be aware in order to protect themselves and their personal identifiable information while searching for a job.

This type of fraud is normally carried out through online phishing schemes such as false websites, or through fake emails and calls claiming to be from a recruiting company and offering to submit resumes for open positions, or presenting a job offer prior to conducting a formal interview process. The fraudsters often request recipients to provide personal information, or to make payments, in order to proceed in some manner, as part of their fake recruiting process.

How to identify recruitment fraud

Advantis Medical only posts our open positions on the following sources:

If you are responding to a job posting from any other source claiming to be from Advantis Medical you should be very wary of doing so.  If you are interested in confirming whether a position you have found online is legitimately from Advantis, please contact us at:

Identifying an Advantis Recruiter

Advantis Recruiters only send emails to candidates from their Advantis Outlook account.  Look for the “@advantismed.com” domain in the address to ensure the email is not one masked to look like it’s from Advantis.  If you receive emails from anyone sending from Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or ANY other non-Advantis global domain, it is NOT coming from an Advantis Recruiter and you should treat it as fraudulent.

What to expect from an Advantis Recruiter

Some key things to remember when contacted by someone claiming to be from Advantis Medical:

  • We do not ask candidates to send us any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in order submit their resume and profile to a client.
  • An Advantis Recruiter will never ask you to fill in an online application requiring personal identifiable information (PII) to be entered.
  • At Advantis Medical we do not submit candidates without first connecting to have a direct conversation about the opportunity match, as well as your interests, goals, and aspirations.
  • No job offer will ever be extended without first going through a full screening and interview process.
