• Facility: CHI St. Alexius Health - Devil's Lake
  
• Location: Devils Lake, ND
  
• Unit/Specialty: CT Tech
  
• Shift: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift
  

Requirements:

• Must have ND License
  
• Must be Certified by the ARRT in computed tomography
  
• Must have BLS certification
  

Additional Information:

• Positions patients for exams to obtain optimal image quality.
  
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
  
• Positions equipment and sets technical factors to obtain optimal studies.
  
• Practices radiation protection and follows ALARA principles.
  
• Performs portable radiographic exams as requested.
  
• Under the direction of Radiologist or attending physician, prepares and/or administers oral and IV contrast material.
  
• Provides assistance to the Radiologist during fluoroscopy examinations, and invasive procedures such as angiography, biopsies, and localizing procedures.
  
• Utilizes teleradiology equipment as needed.
  
• Utilizes hospital information system and radiology information system as required for charges and proper patient status.
  
• Performs CT and x-ray studies to produce images of high quality and shows ability to operate CT Scanner and x-ray equipment independently. Also shows capability of operating CT workstation appropriately.
