Travel Registered Nurse - RNFA Travel Nurse job available in New Brunswick, NJ

Requirements:
- Must be proficient or expert in the following areas: apply absorbent immobilizing dressings, hemostatic clips & tourniquets- assist with auto transfusion, volume replacement & secure drainage system to tissue- clamp/cauterize vessels or tissues- cut & digital manipulation of tissue, direct digital pressure- dissect common femoral artery and bifurcate- Electrocautery-bipolar and mono- harvest saphenous vein including skin incision- insert drainage tubes, insert/remove F/C- manipulation of surgical materials such as loops/tags, pack sponges and pad pressure points- place local hemostatic agents, protect nerves from damage, suctioning, irrigation and sponging- suture all wound layers: muscle & fascia, thermoregulation, tying and ligating clamped vessels/tissue- use of body stabilizer, fracture table, c-arm extensions & head stabilizer, wound dressing: liquid or spray occlusive- administer medications, IV & phlebotomy, circulating skills, drape & position patient & assess skin
- 1+ Years of experience required
- BLS, ACLS, FA Credentials required
- Work history that is strong specifically in cardiac cases required
- Valid NJ License or Compact License (required at time of submission)
- References Required

Additional Information:
- Will be support staff during an active workforce disruption
- Charting System: EPIC
- First time travelers are accepted
- Scrubs: Hospital Provided
- Travel Compliance Start Dates: Vary by specialty; see job's start date - If starting 9/6 or later, Labor Day RTO rules do not apply
- RTO: Max 7 days - Holiday RTO is NOT accepted: 9/4 (Labor Day)
- Background Policy to be noted prior to submission: Facility will not accept any open/active hits
- Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- If a traveler's contract was cancelled previously for failing a competency exam they cannot be considered for 6 months
- As a courtesy, should a traveler need to cancel their contract for any reason, RWJBH asks for adequate notice. Adequate notice is defined as: For MSP contracted travelers: 14 day notice; For CRISIS / RAPID contracted travelers: 10 day notice. Failure to provide proper notice as outlined will result in ineligibility to be rehired within the RWJBarnabas Health system.
