Requirements:
- Mental/visual ability to operate complex electronic equipment and instrumentation and perform quality control procedures on equipment
- Ability to transfer patients to MR scan table and push table from prep room to exam room
- Must lift and transfer patients to stretchers, etc.
- Must demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate care to various age populations
- Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English
- Preferred: Radiation Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
- Required: BLS

Additional Information:
- Must adhere to MGH Good-To-Go policies and practices
- Must review the MRI patient procedure screening form with the patient and complete the MRI staff specific questions
- Must utilize departmental specific tools to confirm contrast dosing, and patient safety through the use of such tools as EPIC, electronic dose calculators, image review (PACS) and other means designated by the department
- Must maintain a neat work environment, including patient care areas, MR scan rooms, MR control rooms and reading areas
- Must monitor appropriate inventory and par levels of necessary supplies and communicate with Manager / Supervisor
- Must assist receptionist and other Department staff in various duties as necessary (i.e. scheduling and transporting patients, taking stock inventory, filing, etc.)
- Must develop knowledge of MR physics through on-the-job training, reading, etc., and keep current on new developments in MR imaging
- Must identify hazardous system malfunctions; secure area and remove patients and personnel from magnet bay during emergency situations
- Must perform other related duties as required
