Figs scrubs is one of the most widely known scrubs companies in the healthcare realm. What makes them a clinician favorite? The way they manage to be comfortable without sacrificing the durability necessary for a healthcare worker’s shift. As I returned to working in a clinic where scrubs were essential on some days, I asked my coworkers which scrubs were their favorite. The typical answer was Figs scrubs. These scrubs are very comfortable, and it is obvious that they are made from high-quality fabric. I have Figs scrubs in black and wear and wash them regularly. The color is just as dark as the day I received them in the mail. So, if you are hunting for new scrubs, check out Figs!
When friends and coworkers recommended this brand, my first question was, “Ok but are they worth it?” After all, you can buy a set of scrubs at local value stores for half the cost. Now, as a proud owner of Figs medical scrubs, I will say yes, they are worth the price. This is one of those times you do get what you pay for. Your Figs scrubs will feel better and last longer than those so-called bargains.
Figs scrubs brand was designed by two women inspired by a friend who worked as a nurse practitioner. She was frustrated with the options of boxy and itchy scrubs that were not comfortable to put on, let alone wear for 12-hour shifts. Their goal was to create an option that met the needs of healthcare workers while providing a comfortable uniform for daily wear. The fabric used in Figs scrubs is anti-microbial, which prevents odors. Additionally, the fabric wicks moisture and wrinkle and is static-free.
The baseline fabric for Figs scrubs tops and bottoms is their proprietary fabric known as FIONx with Silvadur antimicrobial, a four-way stretch, anti-wrinkle, and moisture-wicking properties. The FREEx is water-repellant, anti-static, recycled polyester with a four-way stretch. So whatever needs you have, Figs scrubs has a solution!
Figs women’s scrubs come in fourteen colors. Currently, they have six core colors and eight limited-release colors. Figs release limited edition colors in various styles a few times yearly to spice up your scrub collection. Figs scrub tops come in long-sleeve, short-sleeve, and maternity options. Figs scrub bottoms come in eight different cuts and styles depending on your needs and preferences. Regardless of which types you choose, there are plenty of pockets for your shift essentials. In addition to scrub tops and bottoms, Figs scrubs have a selection of outerwear, lab coats, underscrubs, scrub caps, and face masks.
I have the Zamora joggers and Casma three-pocket top. My Figs scrub top has two visible pockets and one hidden pocket. Figs scrubs sizing runs a bit large. I purchased my usual size, which is definitely a more relaxed fit. I would size down from your standard size selection if you want a more fitted look. The pants I sized up from my usual, which gave me a more relaxed fit, so order your regular size if you want a more fitted look. Honestly, my only complaint about these scrubs is that if they do get wrinkled, it is pretty tricky to get the wrinkles out without rewashing them.
Like the women’s scrubs, Figs men’s scrubs come in thirteen colors, six of which are their core and seven limited colors. The men’s scrubs come in five different cuts, offering slim and classic fits depending on your needs. If you are looking at men’s scrub bottoms, there are six styles to choose from, including cargo, joggers, and slim fit. Figs scrubs is also now offering a Pro line of scrubs that looks more like trousers and polos versus your typical scrubs, but with all the benefits of their scrubs!
I, unfortunately, do not have any first-hand experience with the Figs men’s scrubs, but if they are anything like the women’s scrubs, you will not regret your purchase!
Figs scrubs are a direct-to-consumer company, meaning they are only available to purchase on their website and are not available in storefronts. This keeps their prices lower by cutting out the third party. They offer prepaid shipping for new, unworn returns. If you are concerned that you won’t like a color or style or between sizes, rest assured that you can return unwanted items within 30 days of purchase.
If you are looking for your next pair of go-to scrubs, check out Figs scrubs. Whether you are looking for men’s or women’s styles, they have a variety of colors, cuts, styles, and fits. There is sure to be something perfect for you!
